Domaine Paul BUECHER wines
Paul Buecher wines reflect both the diversity of Alsatian grape varieties and the uniqueness of our different terroirs. Therefore, we are quite fortunate to give birth to more than twenty different wines every year. According to their style, aging potential, and ambition, they are gathered into three ranges :
The Expression range is the heart of Paul Buecher’s production. These wines come from several plots of land, spread in different areas of our estate. The whole vineyard has been grown for more than 10 years following organic methods. The blending of complementary terroirs offers harmony, regularity, and a perfect expression of the grape character to each wine. These cuvées show both modernity and tradition.
The single-vineyard wines are the pride of our family, and we turn all our attention to their production. Each of these wines comes from one parcel and has its own character and soul. The Terroir cuvées bear the name of the place where they are born. It may be a delimited Grand cru, an official place or a given name.
These wines distinguish by their finesse, concentration, and length. Most of them may be enjoyed young, but they develop slowly and are able to age for years.
Besides the traditional Alsace wines, Crémant d’Alsace and Vendanges tardives have earned a special place in our vineyards. Paul Buecher is widely renowned for its sparkling wines, produced for more than 40 years in our cellar. And the rare late-harvest are the best expression of the uniqueness of the Alsatian microclimates.
